Podcast February 16, 2018: Considerations for the Return of Genomic Results (Andrew Faucett, MS, LGC)

Dr. Andrew Faucett

In this episode of the NIH Collaboratory Grand Rounds podcast, Dr. Andrew Faucett of Geisinger speaks with moderator Dr. Lesley Curtis about the return of genomic results. A key consideration for returning results of this type of research to patients and clinicians is how to scale it, as there can be issues with technical validity and sample identity in genetic variants. He describes the need to appropriately define what we can and cannot interpret from the information, and do a better job of making tools for patient use of raw data.
